Mens Retreat Update & Photos
July 23, 2010
Friday: a great canoe hike to a back woods lake! More bass and more fellowship :) Friday afternoon was BBQ ribs on the grill (Thanks Mr. Jay) and then some time in the Word with our special guest Pastor Jim Scudder.
Saturday it was head for home time :(....but all went well and we arrived home safely. Thanks for the prayers! We are setting up dates for next year...limited availability so be ready to sign up!
Thursday: All going well. LOT AND LOTS of fish. Great weather too! We headed over to the infamous Lake 13 for some intense time of Bass fishing from canoes... can you say "Sunburn and sore arms"?
We had a fishing derby in the evening for the "Big Fish"...Pastor Dans boat got 10 Northern in about 1 hour, but the biggest fish came from Pastor Jims boat.
of course a trip to DQ in the eve- check out the pic of Steves "Earthquake" desert. Friday is a back woods trip to Twin Lake, and we depart in Saturday AM. Thanks for your prayers!
Mens Retreat is going great! We've spent alot of time fishing and even more time eating! Pastor Mark got us into the Word speaking about being Salt to the world and Pastor Dan talked about being a light to our world. Wednesday eve we are all heading out to Sand Point for a bonfire, singing, and a time of praise and devotion....of course followed up by a trip to DQ by the lake.... enjoy the photos!
